How to use
It’s easy — that’s the whole point.
You can use REcheck to say ‘bye’ to stuff you no longer need or ‘buy’ something pre-loved (hello, sustainable shopping!).
Reveal
Start by typing the item you want to rehome into the search bar, and set how far you’re willing to travel. Then hit the magnifying glass.

If you’ve got a bunch of similar things (like a lounge, bed frame and side table), try clicking a category image on the homepage — like Furniture.

Results
Up top, you’ll see how many places accept your item, grouped by the type of RE. You might be surprised just how many second chances your stuff has!

Refine
Use the filters to get more specific:
- Condition: usable or not
- Exchange method: drop-off, pick-up, or post
- Money matters: want to rent or sell? Tick that box.
Click ‘Apply’ to see updated results.
Need a bigger or smaller radius? Adjust the distance slider too.

Review
Each listing gives you a quick snapshot of the taker. Want the full scoop? Click into the listing to see all the details.

Reduce
Love a listing? Click the little flag icon to save it to your shortlist.
Your shortlist will hang out here until you clear your browsing history — handy for coming back later.

Refer
Good things are better when shared. If you spot a place you think a friend, neighbour, or community group should know about, just click the share icon to email it their way. One click could save someone a whole lot of searching — and a whole lot of stuff from going to waste.
Redirect
Ready to pass it on? Nice work. Just follow the instructions in the listing.
Rejoice
You did it! Another item dodges landfill — and you made it happen. Come back anytime you need help keeping stuff in circulation.
Reverse
REcheck isn’t just for saying goodbye — it’s great for finding things, too.
Doing a bit of DIY? Search for places that take timber, tools, or paint, then check if they also sell or give away those materials.
Who knows? Your next project might be hiding in someone else’s donation pile.
