🔵Tyre & Tube Recycling All stores in VIC, SA, WA, NSW, ACT and some stores in QLD have tyre recycling in place. VIC and WA are also able to recycle inner tubes at local facilities. This helps to reduce landfill and the rubber is re-used to create new products like athletics tracks and playgrounds or is broken back down into its usable components. 🟢 Donate Your Old Bike Program We partner with local community groups to give old bikes new life. This makes it easy for customers to trade in old bikes, ensuring they are either donated and upcycled to those in need or responsibly recycled, a win-win for riders, the community, and the environment. NSW & ACT Partnering with Revolve Recycling, a charity started to strengthen bike equity through the distribution of bikes to disadvantaged kids. They aim to recover, recycle and redeploy Australia’s bikes, scooters and other personal transport vehicles and employ people from disadvantaged backgrounds. South Australia Partnering with Lighthouse Youth Projects Inc, a community workshop that strives to empower all youth, especially those who are vulnerable and are at-risk, to achieve their full potential through bike based programs and workshops. Western Australia Partnering with Bicycles For Humanity, a charity that repairs donated bicycles and send them to NGO partners in Africa or to communities in remote WA to help alleviate poverty through sustainable transport. Victoria Partnering with Brainwave Australia, a new Melbourne based social enterprise to donate, recycle and reuse bikes while providing employment and traineeships for people with a disability and raising money for Brainwave Australia. Queensland Partnering with the Sunrise Surfers Wheelchair Trust an Australian registered charity based on the Gold Coast that transforms donated bicycles into “rough-terrain” wheelchairs for disadvantaged people—particularly children—in under-resourced countries. Trialling a partnership with The Salvation Army, who raises money to help disadvantaged Australians without discrimination, including people who are hungry, homeless, abandoned or abused. They resell upcycled bikes in their Salvation Army stores and send bikes that need to be fixed to their workshop or recycle bikes that cannot be resold or repaired.
