The Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC) offers a Device Donation Program to support people seeking asylum in Sydney. Recognising the critical role of technology in education, employment, and staying connected, ASC accepts donations of working laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. These devices are then distributed to individuals who lack access to such essential tools, aiding them in their journey towards independence and integration. In the fiscal year 2023-2024, ASC successfully distributed 491 devices, demonstrating the program's impact. This initiative not only empowers asylum seekers but also promotes digital inclusion and reduces electronic waste.
