Cupboards full of used candle containers? Given candle containers are largely temper glass, they cannot be recycled. They ultimately end up in landfill. That's why we created two sustainable programs. UpCandle We welcome you to donate your old candle containers from other brands. We will refill and donate to organisations supporting survivors of domestic violence, when setting up a new home. Return&Swap We specialise in refillable candles and diffusers, and encourage our customers to return used containers for refilling, thereby reducing landfill waste. This initiative not only promotes environmental responsibility but also offers customers a 30% discount on their next fragrance purchase. CandleXchange is an Australian-owned social enterprise dedicated to transforming the home fragrance industry through sustainable practices.

Accepted items

We accept any used candle or diffuser containers (glass or ceramic) that are in good condition and can be refilled to create a gift you would be happy to receive. Not burnt, stains or chipped containers please.

Condition of items

Usable

We would prefer you remove all wax and labels from your used containers. To clean your container, simply use hot water and wipe out the remaining wax. Or place in the freezer for 20 minutes, the wax will pop out. Please dispose wax in the bin, not down the drain. A wash in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher should finish the job.
