The Fix-It Hub is your one stop shop for repair – cost-free, fuss-free circular economy in practice. Got some clothing that needs mending? Broken jewellery? Pram got a wonky wheel? Don’t throw it out, bring it to the Fix-It Hub and our volunteers will do their best to fix it for free. We are committed to fostering a community of repair enthusiasts, and we encourage our customers to stick around during their 20-minute sessions. By doing so, you not only get to witness the magic of your item being revived but also have the opportunity to lend a hand, learn something new, and share your own skills with others. At Fix-It Hub, we believe in the power of fixing, preserving, and promoting a more sustainable way of living. We firmly believe that the journey of repair should be accessible to all. That's why all fixes provided by our dedicated volunteers are free of charge. If a specialised part is needed to complete your fix, please bring it along with you or ask our team where you can purchase this from before a follow-up session.

Accepted items

Furniture/Miscellaneous: chairs, shoes, toys - we'll try to fix any small item you can carry in (not jewellery). Clothing repair: hems (have the length marked), elastic, seams etc. Not zips in trousers. Hand sewing: mending tears in clothes, jumpers etc. Electrical (small appliances): toasters, lamps, coffee machines, blenders etc. Knife/tool sharpening: knives (not serrated), secateurs, garden shears etc. Jewellery: when we have timeslots for jewellery we can repair costume jewellery only.

How to get items to us

The Mess Hall at The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, 2 Balls Head Drive, Waverton, NSW 2060

Fix-It Hub happens on the second Saturday of each month, 10:30am to 1pm.

To ensure we can provide the best service and experience for all, it is essential to book your repair sessions in advance. We can repair one item per timeslot.
