The Inner West Tool Library is a volunteer run not for profit community project, providing the inner west community access to a wide variety of tools and equipment that you'd much rather borrow than buy. Yes we have the tools, but with so much more - we're a 'library of things'. Think drills, tents, sewing machines, hedge trimmers, marquees, food dehydrators and pressure washers. We want to reduce waste and increase opportunity for our members and are continually building our stock so we can give our members the value they deserve.
Accepted items
If you have spare or unused tools kicking around your garage, garden shed or closet, donate them to the Inner West Tool Library where they'll get an opportunity for a second life within our community. 🟢 Tools - power tools, heat gun, hedge trimmer, polisher, engraver, pressure washer 🟢 Camping equipment - tents, camping chairs, tarp, camping grill 🟢 Gardening equipment - Lawn mowers, whipper snippers, pitchfork,pruners, shredders, shovels, rakes 🟢 Motor/Cycle Maintenance - battery charger, motorcycle paddock stand, bike stand, jacks stands, hydraulic jacks 🟢 Party supplies - projector and screen, picnic supplies, icecream maker and lots of other ‘useful’ things - think things you may only use once or twice a year. We also appreciate new consumable goods, like sanding belts and sharp blades if they fit the tools we have. For instance: you bought some collated nails to use with the nail gun and have some left over? We’ll give them to the next person that borrows the tool so they can use them!

-Basic hand tools (standard screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, hand saws, hammers) -Axes, picks, shovels, pruning loppers -Leaf blower -Drills -Circular Saws, Drop saw, Mitre saw- Sanders, angle grinder -Tents -Tool belts, tool pouches, or tool bags (small tool boxes welcome!)
