Reselling good condition pre-loved books at our highly anticipated Book Fairs is one of the most effective ways we can raise the funding necessary to continue providing our services. We happily take books in good condition for our shops and fairs as well as rare, antique and collectible books for our Special Auctions. Not only will you feel good about saving them from landfill, all funds raised go back into our services. Donating books to Lifeline contributes to a circular economy and allows us to channel profits into purpose. Lifeline is proud of our collective and tangible impact – reaching out and holding people safe during times of emotional distress and crisis, and strengthening the resilience and wellbeing of individuals, families and our communities. If you have books in good condition you’d like to donate, we'd love to hear from you. We accept: -Paperback books -Hardback books -CDs -DVDs -Puzzles and games -Comics, graphic novels & Manga -Magazines with a face value greater than $10 and in good condition (some exceptions apply) -‘Talking book’ audio on CD -Text books – late editions only, not defaced We also welcome rare, valuable or antiquarian books. Offered at our Special auctions at major book fairs, these books generate a lot of interest and raise significant amounts for our services and are particularly appreciated.

Helpful tips
Please place donations in a small cardboard box that is light enough for our volunteers to carry easily (maximum 10kg). Labels are helpful too. We treat rare, antique or collectible books with great care, so please let us know if your donations are valuable. Thank you!
How to get items to us
Lifeline Book Depot - behind the Lifeline shop, 18 Roger St, Brookvale, NSW 2100
Monday to Friday: 8:30am-1:30pm
Parking for donations to the book depot is on the right hand side only and is for short drop offs.
