Helpful tips
Trading in your device is easy, but you will need to go through a number of preparation steps to make sure all your personal data stays with you and the device is unlocked before you send it to us, so we can assess it and give it a second life! The general steps for preparing any trade‑in device before sending it to us include: 1. Unpair your device from any paired personal devices, usually a smart watch (for example, Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch). 2. Backup your device data, contacts, photos and settings etc to your Apple iCloud, Android Google Drive, Samsung Cloud or to your computer (Mac or PC). 3. Unlock sign-out of any Account Activation attached to your device, such as iCloud or Google Account. 4. Reset your trade‑in device, as this will erase all your data and settings, protecting your personal information. 5. Remove your SIM card (if applicable).
Earn money
The trade-in vale of your item will be issued to you on an Officeworks gift card.
How to get items to us
Once you have completed the quick device assesment online, and are happy to accept the trade in value, we will send you an email with all the instructions, plus your Australia Post Return Label (free shipping charges). Once you have your mobile device backed up, unlocked and ready to ship to us: You can either print the Australia Post Return Label sent to you via email or take a digital copy of the label (e.g. open from the email on your phone) with you to Australia Post. Present the Return Label with your Trade‑In device at your nearest Australia Post Office. Australia Post staff will simply scan the barcode and for smaller devices provide a Padded Mailer Bag. For larger items, tablets and laptops we will send you a protective larger box first before you take your device to Australia Post for shipping. Once Australia Post notifies us, we will send you an email and SMS notification (confirming that you have dropped off your old device to Australia Post). Your device is now on its way to us for assessment.
