The Reconnect Project is a registered charity and social enterprise dedicated to closing Australia's digital divide. We collect unwanted mobile phones, tablets, and laptops, which are securely erased and refurbished by young adults with neurodiverse or psychosocial disabilities under expert guidance. These revitalized devices are then distributed to individuals in need, including women and children fleeing domestic violence, refugees, migrants, homeless and at-risk youth, socially isolated individuals, and low-income families. By doing so, they not only provide essential technology access but also offer training and employment pathways to marginalized youth, promoting both digital inclusion and social empowerment. Our online store is now active so you can purchase refurbished devices and tech accessories. We safely remove data from people's devices using the same military grade data erasure software as commercial ITADs and can issue certificates if required.
